Nora Whitworth - Brainstormer

The goal for the project was to succeed and complete the portion of the project of creating an attachment that would hold 2 balls and drop them both at the same time into the cups.

Steps to reach the goal
  1. Imagine what the attachment would look like and how Dash was going to move to drop both balls at once.
  2. Plan what materials to use, how to use the materials, and create the attachment as planned.
  3. Modify the direction and the measurements - troubleshoot.
  4. Program the code and troubleshoot.
  5. Explore movements that worked.

Cora came up with the idea of the ball holder and the program. Merrill helped to troubleshoot the code. Nora helped with the improvements of the attachment. Sam and Stratton helped with Legos.

We tried attaching a bent tube to the top of Dash. It wasn't stable enough. It bent down too much.

Measuring how long the tube should be. We didn't want it to not reach the cups or not stretch far enough.

Trying to construct a platform to attach the tube. We needed the tube to be higher in order to reach the cups. We thought about what would help. We decided on legos

Adjusting the tubes. We decided to do a plate, stick the tubes of it, and cover the surface with tape.

Test run. We had to work on adjusting the plate and the cups and the program.

Here is a picture with the counterweight we attached.

Here she is after her success.
